I chose this illustrator because of the range of colour used within the image, and the detail used, even though they are ‘cartoonish or unrealistic’. I also like that the images create a scene, rather than being individual things or people. The whole image give a greater feel for what’s happening as well as set the scene emotionally with the colours that are used; for example, cool colours can make it feel cold, dark colours can make it scary or ominous, and warm colours make it friendly. I f it was just a person or an object being depicted, you wouldn’t be able to get this range of communication.
