These designs are very smooth, and are mostly made from a smooth material, often metal, either brushed or polished. The effect is that they are very fluid, and seem to be almost organic; like they have been grown rather than crafted.
His designs are for everyday objects, which we see every day, yet they are redesigned from scratch, so that they look like completely new things. This is an excellent way to work, as you are not limited by a starting point, which would point the design in a direction, before you have even started.
